Sticky bullets

I ordered mail ordered some Star cast bullets and they have a lube on them similar to the soft Lyman moly lube.  The bullets are fine and they were undamaged, but the lube got smeared all over the bullets, so I've got sticky bullets.  Do you have any good suggestions for how to remove this gunk? I'm thinking of tumbling it with corn cob media.

Questor :  I dont know about tumbling them in the corn cob media or not I think I would contact the manufacturer and see what they suggest as a solvent type cleaner, I think the media would just stick to them causing a bigger mess, I suppose after enough time they would come clesn but I think I would try a shop towel and a cleaning product first. :D   JIM

Easiest is likely to just use some motor mica to dust them and that should take away the sticky.

I use RCBS lube mostly on my bullets. It is a soft lube and in the heat of summer here sure can get messy. If it does what I do is to load them and then use an alcohol soaked rag to wipe the excess off the nose of the bullet after it is loaded. The part that will touch you barrel and need to be lubed is generally all inside the case so this doesn't remove needed lube.
