It has been raining steady for two days now. A total of 4.51 inches since 5/18. The pond is rising, the grasses and weeds are greening, the fruit trees (that made it) have increased their turgor (the leaves are standing and no longer drooping), I even found a large leopard frog that had crammed itself under the hand hold of the recycling box to get out of the weather. The drought appears to be over and the threat of additional wild fires is subsiding. I could plant this weekend if it was not for the #2 son's High School graduation and it is predicted to rain for his outdoor ceremony.
