What is everyone's pick for the best Pardner for all around use.

My personal favorite is the 20ga. Pardner.
Let's hear what you guys think and maybe tell us why you think that way. ;D

I have to go with the 20 also. Light weight, easy to carry all day.
Very versatile yet doesn't put much hurt on the shoulder.
Mine's great with slugs out to 50 yards and patterns real nice with bird shot. If I could only keep 1 gun this would be it.

My 20 ga. is probably my most used gun.
I shortened (20") and scoped (4xSimmons) mine and I hunt everything with it.
I have a buttstock shell holder on it filled with 3 birdshot and 2 slugs. Pretty much covers anything I need to do with it during hunting season.

I think a 12 ga is the best. You can get it with a 24 inch barrel with screw in chokes and a 3.5 inch chamber. You can load it with light trap loads all the way up to 3.5 inch man killers. Put syn stocks on it if you want it light to carry. Tireman

For just walkin' the woods and small game and birds, you can't beat my 20ga 22" Mod.  For deer and big game I have 12ga Tracker I.  My first and only deer was taken with a Tracker I 20ga.  If I could only have 1, my choice would be a TDC in 20ga, the first year they made 'em, in a 26" barrel.

awhile back id agree on a 20  all round hunting , cheaper to shoot ( notice i said cheaper? not cheap) hahah nothing  cheap these days ,  but ive fell in love with the 28ga  pardner i  got , sweet and challenging lot more round then a 410 and  still  like a cream puff to  shoot, i started reloading it and  a whole lot cheaper ,

If I had to choose only 1  it would be the 20 ga with a Mod.choke.  As was said before , it's light, has plenty of power, and will handle shot and slugs ,without punishing the shooter.

I voted 20. As they say "buck or bird 20 is plenty" The only way I'd say 12 is if I were somewhere were other bigger things that can eat you were sharing the woods.

I generally prefer to carry a 20ga for upland hunting.  I have the 22" mod choke barrel.  Also a model 58 in 30-30/20ga with 25" barrel and adjustable choke.  But for all around use, as in if I only had one, it would be 12ga because of the huge diversity of loadings.

The regular Partners are all pretty light to carry.

I thought the 20 would be leading the poll but I'm surprised at by how much.
I thought the 12 and 20 would be alot closer.
The poor little 410 seems to be unloved or something :-\

Like I thought... you can't beat the 20 ;D

3 votes for the (sweet) 16 and one was mine. I voted for it for nostalgia and because I really like my 16's. In truth nowadays the 20 is probably the best all around gun with the greater variety of factory ammo for it but the 16 got my vote anyway....<><....:)

I've heard before that the invention of the 3" 20ga rendered the 16ga obsolete.I've got 3 of those obsolete guns that seem to function very well. If the poll was for sentimental nostalgic favorite I think the 16ga would win hands down. At least with me.
