Barrel Accessory Program

For those of you that have done this how long was the turn around time?, The website says about 6-8 weeks, does this seem about right. I was thinking of sending mine in but would need it back buy the 3rd weekend of March for turkey season and think I may be cutting it a little close if they useally run behind.

You can see how long it's been taking in the
Ilion Satisfaction Poll
sticky in the H&R Rifle forum.

I am going to send a frame in for a 20 ga. USH barrel pretty soon, so I guess I'll find out. No hurry - deer season is a ways off now. I skimmed the Ilion results last night, seems like customer satisfaction is running about 50/50.

You'll notice most of the bad stuff was early, those that have received barrels recently have been happy with very few exceptions. There's also a barrel available now that's not on the list, the Ultra lite if you want it you'll have to ask for it, or call em and get the part number.

Tim,
Thanks for the heads up on that. The lighter version looks interesting, although I find the 20 ga USH quite acceptable weight-wise. I wonder if there will be any impact on accuracy with the li8ghter barrel? I had a 12 ga USH at one time - too heavy for this old man.
(maybe I'll just have to send two frames in and order the 20 USH and the lightweight also! My civic duty to stimulate the economy.

Or just send one frame and have both barrels fitted!! They'll fit as many as you order, I've only had three barrels fitted to one frame once, but others have done as many as 13 barrels IIRC!!

Thanks Tim,
With time being of the essence , I've been reading up on fitting barrels and may give it a try if I can find the barrel I'm looking for, I could always take it a local gunsmith if I get in over my head.

It depends on what barrels you want. I ordered 3 for my frame and because one was not available it took 3mos. But I called before I ordered and they told me that would be the case.
