Better Camo Laminate
« on: January 29, 2009, 10:08:48 AM »
Thinking about dressing up my 12 gauge for turkey hunting, which laminate would you choose for its camo properties? I am leaning toward the gray/black for sitting up against at tree, but the timber camo seams good too.  any opinions? Also, has any tried the "sporter forearm" on gunstocks inc? seams like a nice alternate to the regular shotgun stock.

I think you're kidding only yourself not the turkeys. Chose what is pleasing to your eyes and worry not about how the turkeys will like it.

I have a Sporter style forend from Gunstocks Inc. on my Pardner Turkey 3 1/2" and like it because its longer  and wider than the standard forearm and with the recoil of the 3 1/2" shells my hand does not get hit by the sling stud and swivel with this forend ;D . TF

Agreed Graybeard,

I like the survival stock and forearm on my H&R turkey gun.  Like you said worry more about what you like and less about what the Turkey is going to like.  If the turkey see enough of the gun to figure if he likes it or not he is going to be gone.

I agree with that...BTW, I like the camo laminate personally...Bought a set for my H&R a while back.
