Kentucky long distance range?
« on: August 05, 2003, 04:47:37 PM »
Greetings gentlemen,
I saw a post some time back that mentioned a long distance range in the western Kentucky vicinity and never did find out exactly where it was. Can anyone give me any ideas as to location? I am about an hour from Paducah, Ky. here in Carbondale, Illinois and would like to try out my Sharps .45-120 and Browning 1885 .40-65 at some "ram & buffler" distances. Thanks kindly!

Quigely. There is a place in Nason Ill where they shoot SASS at least once a month. They may have  a long distant range there for black power. May be worth checking it out, Nason not too far from C'dale

Quigley, I'm not too sure how far away you are, but there's a real nice 500m range at Effingham, IL.  I shoot BPC Silhouette there every month, and the next match is next weekend, both Sat. and Sun.  If you're interested, drop me an email  pennellgreg@aol.com , and I'll try to send directions to the range.

the match is run by my old friend Joe Keith. It is held in Boaz Ky which is about 15 miles south of Paducah. E-mail me for his number,
I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
