Now in the "good Ol' days" it used to be a regular stop when I made it to Lewiston, Ideeeeeeeho, to stop at Lolo's just to check out their supply of "rejects/seconds/blems from the local SPEER factory.
They indeed were good Ol'days, as they would have boxes full of verious sizes, weights and styles of Speer production.
I still have a few hundred on hand, but the most popular have long since gone down the barrel.
My wife is still using Grand Slam "rejects" for her hunting needs - 270 - 150gr, and although she didn't tag out this year, my daughter took her first deer with the wife's rifle and one of those reject Grand Slams.
Over the years, have shot lots of 75gr. 243s and 50 - 55gr. 22s.
Not sure exactly why the supply dried up, but sure miss it!
But then, remembering back to those days, a friend and I went into Lolo's and bought 10lbs. of bulk Miltary 4831 for $ .50 a pound. That was when canister powder went for $3 - 5 per pound.
Didn't know just how good we had it back then!
Keep em coming!
