I looked up that "shark fishing with kittens" video
« on: February 14, 2009, 04:56:45 AM »
It's a fake. That is not to say that all manner of protein fails to find use as bait regularly, but that video is from somebody with an agenda wanting to earn money. By the way, Otis "Toad" Smith, the great catfishing guru underwent heart surgery and part of the heart was removed. He asked the doctors for it and kept it in a jar for a while, then decided he should put it to use. So he used the piece of his heart as catfish bait, and caught a dandy fish with it.

Man...thats hardcore...

I couldn't touching a piece of my own heart, minus putting a hook through it and catching a fish lol...
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

The whole kittens thing reminds me of a neighborhood I used to live in in Florida. There had always been a lot of stray cats and dogs in the neighborhood, until they suddenly became less evident. It turned out that a new Chinese restaurant had been serving the animals as meat, and got put out of business for that practice. I figure that if you're going to go around liquidating the local feline population, then a restaurant makes more sense than a bait shop. I wish I had gone to that restaurant so I could make an off-hand comment like "tastes just like chicken".

By the way, my beagle found a big pile of dead and skinned muskrats the other day. Somebody had been busy trapping on that marshy lake. It looked like a big gutpile from a distance, and as I got closer it looked like a pile of dead skinned rats.
