Anyone know the artist are band name that plays a rendition of " Back in the saddle again" as background music for John Taffin`s Sixguns.com website?
I have checked with Taffin himself and he did not know so hopefully one of you can help me find this information. It is an instrumental version.

Mirage and GB,
Thanks for the reply!
As I mentioned in my original post this is strickly an instrumental version and no voices, mainly guitars.
I went to ITunes and found several versions mainly voice productions. There are a few of straight instrumental versions but not the one that is on the website! So Iam still searching!

The version on the site is a midi file so it was composed on a keyboard or a computer... I grabbed it and attached it to this post incase you want it....

Download and unzip...

"Back in the Saddle Again" was the signature song of American Cowboy entertainer Gene Autry. It was co-written by Autry with Ray Whitley and first released in 1939. The song was associated with Autry throughout his career and was used as the name of Autry's autobiography in 1976.

FYI from Wikipedia

Roy and Dale are still my favorites, with or without the Sons of the Pioneers.

Sweetwater,
Thanks for the historical update of "Back In The Saddle Again"! As I was born in 1941 I heard this song all through a good part of my life usually sang by Gene Autry. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Autry several years ago in Palm Springs, CA. At the time he owned the hotel where I was staying for a business meeting. Also at that time he was the owner of the California Angels baseball team.
