357 max hunting load

whats your hunting load have a 14" max barrel for sum time thought i nock the dust out of it this year how well does yours group

Barrel is on its way here. But I am planning to use 180 gr Cast Preformance WFNGC over about 20 grains of H110

My 357 max loads are a 180 grain Speer Hotcor FN over 20 grains of Lilgun. Makes an ugly exit hole in a critter.

I use a LFN LBT 200gr gas check, with 17gr of IMR 4227 in both my 14" Tender and in my DW max.  It seems to be the most accurate load in both guns.  Haven't been lucky enough to try it on a deer yet, did manage to get a prairie dog in SD though, made a big mess.

I load max. loads of Win.-296 behind every bullet. I have found that the Sierra bullets will self destruct on heavy bone, but when put in the lungs the deer don`t go far. Hornadys hold together better but you have to track alittle farther as a rule. I usually stay in the 170 gr. weight range.

Last season I loaded 20gr of H110 behind a Hornady 200gr 35 Rem round nose soft point bullet.  Killed two deer dead where they stood.  This year I want a flatter load so I am going to load 26.5 gr of AA 1680 behind a Hornady 180 gr SSP.  Should have the same effect with a little more reach.  Good luck.

Just loaded 10 180 grain Cast Performance WFNGC over 19 Grains of H110. Having never shot a Max before I didn't know what to expect. Shoot like a dream.
