This gun is a 2.25 confederate mountian rifle, on a first model prarie carriage with optional point pole rings instead of the weaker folding point pole. I just finished the 2nd and last prep coat and tomarrow the green will be going on, I will have pics tomarrow night. I will be shooting the lead pellet projectile. I cant wait to see how she shoots at 200 yards. I still need to order my rear site for the gun,
 but it is coming together.

NO!

THIS IS SERIUOSLY WRONG!

That should have been a GRAY tarp under it NOT BLUE!

(Great lookin' gun - looking foreward to the smoke and fire pix.)

Rick,
Look Good. Glad to see that you went with the Mt. Rifle rather than the pack Parrott that never was. Look forward to seeing it on the line.

I have cannon envy, I wish mine were that big; wait a minute this post is starting to sound a little off color. Seriously Rick, that's one good looking rifle. I'm looking forward to seeing it when your done with the final painting.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

this will be the 10th mountian rifle in the NSSA so hopefully that is a lucky number so I can take some medals home this year like i did with my 24 lb mortar last year.

will have pics tomarrow, and now i am also begining construction on a praire limber, but i have to use 36 in wheels untill i can aford the 42 in. i set it up today and its not correct but it looks good. it is better then carring that ammo box out on the field and will make moving the gun easier. I will let you know how it goes. rear sight somes in saturday and a sponge bucket is on its way UPS . from paulson brothers.
