Can anyone tell me how to take the Butt stock off this model gun? Mine is loose and i want to tighten it up.I cant find anything on the net and Daisy hasnt returned my Emails. :-)

Ok this is what is said in the Gun Digest Firearms Assembly and Disassembly Part III Rimfire Rifles by JB Woods. TO remove the buttstock from the reciever you must unscrew the button that controls the adjustable butt plate and take out the latch and the buttplate extension.This will give access to the internal stock retaining bolt. As some damage to the button is inevitable this should be done if only absolutely necessary. The buttopn he is talking about is the screw in the but stock that you adjust the lenght of the stock with. Hope this helps. That screw can take a set so I would lube it a bit before you try to move it as I have a buddy that has one of these and he went to show me how that worked and it did not move. I think it is designed for a quarter to fit it so if it does not budge with a quarter you might have to use said quarter with a vise grip on it for leverage and remember Wood said that some damage may occur so take it slow and carefull. jh45gun, Thanks for the info.The screw on the side of the stock is allready messed up some from the last person but i will try to get it loose that way.

Well I guess the gun is no good with a loose stock so even if you bugger up that screw worse do it to get the stock tightened and if you have to make the stock non adjustable at least it will be shootable with a tight stock. Jim

Holy cow!!!! They must have welded that screw in there. I tried and tried to get it out and it didnt budge!!

Im going to the Garage, thats where my Drill is..... :shock: :grin:

After tinkering with the button in the stock i finally figured it out.It isnt that hard now... :grin:

TNSCOOTER you said " it isn't that hard now" Can you explain how it went from being hard to no so hard.

I used to have a 2002, but sold it. Looking for another one. But I never got past that 'too hard' stage, so am curious how you did.:?
