I have a .380 Walther PPKS customized by Slide and Cylinder. I rarely have it in my car, being concerned that I might forget it's there and one of my grandchildren find it. However, I got a bicycle last summer and put a lot of miles on it. I put "Walley" in one of the zippered pockets on the quick-detachable pack which hooks up to the rack behind the seat. If I stop to eat at a cafe when out biking, the pack goes in with me. If I had to get it out in a hurry when on a bike trail, that may be a problem, but it might be a lot better than not carrying at all. There was a guy killed on one bike trail where I ride and a gal attacked on another bike trail where I ride. These trails are not in the "bad part of town" but rather in fairly isolated places where another human may not be around for a while. I suspect that very few other bicyclists are packing, but they do not realize how vulnerable they are.

Glock 22 in .40 caliber in a fanny pack.  45 plus one rounds of .40 caliber.  I can carry my wallet and a flashlight to boot.

#1: a S&W model 60 in .38 spl in a leather OWB holster or pocket carried depending on dress requirements.

#2  a Kel-Tec P-11 in 9mm carried IWB with a belt clip attached to the frame of the gun or again pocket carried depending on dress requirements.

I thing wifey is taking over the J-frame so I will likely carry the P-11 a lot more.
