Redhawk Grips?

I am trying to find a set of rubber grips for my Redhawk to replace the Hogue grips I put on. The grips are narrow and cause pressure at the fingers and heel of my palm without any contact in the center of my palm. I think my accuracy has suffered since the switch.

I have heard just as many bad comments as good with the Pachmyer grips. But, I can't find many other options for the Redhawk, unless I went with wood or some other hard material.

Question...is there that much of a difference in felt recoil between wood grips and rubber grips? I've switched to the Hogue grips so long ago that I can't remember back to when I bought the gun how the factory grips felt.

I like the factory wood grips . I don't care for rubber / spongy grips on any gun .
The fit is more important that the material .

I have the oversized Hogue on my Redhawk ( 7 1/2 in. 44Mag.) and love them but then again I have HUGE hands

I have some experience with wood v/s rubber.  My Encore 460 had a 12" barrel , I had a real nice set of Walnut grips.  I thought they fit me ??  After about 20 rounds , I had blisters , bruses , and blood in places I didn't know existed. Put the Hogues on.......no more blisters , could actually shoot it again.   My son has a S&W Moutain gun , with 240 gr , 44 mag loads ( not max loads), it was almost unbearable , again we put a pair of hogues on..problem solved..........The rubber works for felt recoil reduction ,  at least for us.  Good luck.......Regards

Thanks for the real world experience. That helps. Gun show is coming next weekend. I may go up there and see what they have for rubber for the Redhawk and actually grip them. Thanks!
