CZ-DW Bobtail 10mm.....variations? Experience? Opinions?
« on: February 03, 2009, 05:56:45 PM »
Looking for owners who can give me a report...accuracy, reliability, etc. etc.

Any feedback appreciated.  Also, were there changes in this model pre/post CZ ownership?

Thanks all.

I have a .45ACP CBOB with an Aug'08 manufacture date which is excellent.
It's been 100% reliable and shoots better than I can hold.
Fit and finish exceeds anything near it's price range.
Check out the 1911 forum for more feedback.

I have one of the early DW Patriot PT-CBOB pistols, as well as a CCO, a standard commander PT-C and several of the full size models. I don't believe you will find a better value for your money than the DW 1911.
I have carried the CBOB daily for the last 3 1/2 -4 years, and it has been flawless. The bobbed mainspring housing fit's my hand very well, and hides the pistol from printing much better than the standard commander or the CCO. Mine has the XS sights, which I do not like at all. I just haven't taken the time to change them. I think the sights are probably good for their intended purpose on a defensive gun, but I cannot group as accurately with them as I can my pistols with standard sights. I carry my pistol daily & may want to take a shot at a varmint at 75 -100 yards and I can't do that with that big dot. For close range defense it is probably great. Hope I never have to find out! My commanders are all 10mm, and I shoot Double Tapp Ammo exclusively. No problems.
Since CZUSA took over, the quality of the small parts is even better than when I bought my gun. No MIM small parts. Service is top notch also. If you have a problem, they will take care of you.
