What Base and Rings for Encore 17 HMR?

Just bought a 17 Hmr bbl through this great site - I was surprised to see how the barrel is almost like a separate piece from the chamber ( I know the reason behind this - just hadn't seen it before).   

Do you have suggestions on which bases to use (I prefer no to use Weaver bases)?  I have a Talley single piece on anothr barrel and love it but didn't see anything on Talley's site about Encore 17's

I checked Midway for Encore bases and all look like they fit round top barrels.  Am I missing something?  Thanks in advance.

I contacted Weaver and T/C about this about 6 months ago.  Still waiting for an answer.

I wanted Control rings and bases.  They had it sorted out in about an hour.  They said it was the same base as the muzzle loader with the flat barrel.

Not a great answer, but the best I can offer.

I use a regular encore rifle scope base on the rimfire barrel, there is a gap but it screws on just fine. I use burris signature series zee rings (medium) and I have it topped off with a Mueller APV scope.

I had the problem of not being able to fit my scope on my 17hrm barrel, I have the 24",, the talley bases wont fit because the base of the barrel is not curved like any other barrels but flat, Thompson Center has the only base to my knoledge for that specific barrel, it cost about $21 bucks. Hope this will help you.
