ED's tc's
« on: February 14, 2009, 04:37:21 AM »
Can anyone tell me how to get a hold of Ed from Ed's TC’s i tried to get a hold of him yesterday and today to place an order but did not get a response. Does he have a shop or a home store? It being Valentines Day i guest he may be gone for the weekend or something. Might just have to wait till Monday i just haven’t dealt with him before and am not sure of the ordering process.

Visit his website www.edstcs.com and you'll find not only all his phone numbers but the hours during which to call each. His e-mail address is there as well.

Ed has a full time job as an accountant. He used to be an independent CPA but one company was about  60% of his business. They gave him a choice of accepting a full time job with them or them finding someone else who would. He took the job with them so no longer works for himself but now is employed by a firm.

I can't verify it but last I heard he got divorced. I've not discussed it with him so can't verify that so valentine's day might not have any meaning for him now.

He attends a lot of gunshows in the OK area and quite a few of his weekends are devoted to that. His shop is at his home.

If you call or e-mail to ask him a question better asked and answered here he likely will ignore you. If you call and leave a message that you want to buy something from him, sell something to him or to check to see if he has in stock an item you want or do same via e-mail he likely will get back to you as soon as he can.

Most times if I call in the morning I get him or a busy signal and as soon as the phone rings he answers. If I leave a message he always returns my call but I don't bother him for questions I can get the answer to here at GBO. You shouldn't either as he has but a limited amount of time each day he can devote to TCs since he does have a real job. He also probably has more TCs items than anyone else in the world. The man seldom has a minute for himself what with the full time job and his TC sales how he keeps up with it all I have no clue.

I was in contact with him this past monday and he was, at that time, on vacation. The numbers on his banner here are good. I would try to wait till after monday to let him get back to you. He has always gotten back to me quickly.

Just so every one knows the #'s on his sight are mon.- thurs. 405-879-0879 and monday -fri. and weekends 405-755-0393. I did get a hold of him at 405-879-0879 and he said he no longer uses the 405-755-0393 number and did not realize it was still on the sight. The 0393 will still give a voise mail and a pager # but he dosent use them.

That might be why some folks have so much trouble getting him they are using a number he no longer uses. I think that the one I always call him at is the 405-879-0879 you listed. The two 879s in it seem familiar to me.

Ed has tried several times to make arrangements to get his site updated regularly but it seems all attempts have fallen thru. We've offered to do it for him for a price of course but he keeps trying to rely on folks out there in OK City to handle it.

OOPs my bad. I thought I had used both #s to get a hold of him but looking back I found I was only using the 879#.

I've bought from Ed many times and he always calls me back.  He almost always has what I want and gives good prices.  I'd highly recommend him.

Not sure if he still does, or not but he also used to have a storefront.  Right next door to a pawn shop if I remember correctly.  He's about four blocks from some of my family in Bethany, Ok.  Every time I'm on leave I try to stop in an buy something...  You have to make an appointment though.

Ed's Contenders, 6606 NW 38 st,  Bethany, OK: Gun store, He is their most friday & Sat mornings, I would call before to make sure he is there. Ed will make appointments. Call 405 879 0879.  Bethany is a small town outside OK city limits. There is alot of towns next to OK City. You can not tell when one begains and the other ends other than signs.
Another thought if I may, Ed's had 16 Encore Endeavor frames left(Thurday) of a run of 50 frames. Cost $325.00 per unit plus $6.00 shipping & handing to your FFL dealers only.

I met Ed in Amarillo, at a gun show. I've bought 3 barrels and several grips from him, aside from TC Custom Shop, he's my best source. Also saw him at one show in OKC, he knew me right off. I like dealing with him and never have any problems.

I may have missed this in the other posts but Ed can be computer chalenged at times so be patient.  I just got an Encore Endeavor frame from him and had great cutsomer service from him.

By the way he has 16 Endeavor Pistol frames left for a very niced price!!  If you need a frame now is the time to get one.
