Sight Question on a Para Ordnance OPS 1911

Time to tap GBO for a wealth of new info.

Just bought a new used 1911 and the front sight is a little hard to see (the white dot).  I was thinking of putting a little paint on it to brighten it up...

Any comments, suggestions, or ideas would be awesome.

Biohazard:  I know what you mean.  I've had white dots that are just tougher than nails to pick up in the when the sunlight is coming in over your shoulder.

But, I have used white reflective paint (get it at the auto parts store) or reflective paint of any color you prefer - red, yeller, green, almost anything that stands out better in the sunlight than white.

Best thing I have found for painting front sights is "Plasti-Kote" fast dry enamel, in Orange Glow B27.  If a hangun of mine doesn't have fiber optics or night sights, it has this paint. Works great!! It graces the front sights of some of my shooting buddies pistols as well!
