H+R model 250 Sportster

I am in the process of buying one of these 22 bolt action rifles and am wondering if anyone has any info on them.

Not much on it on google, I'd suggest you post in the H&R forum at RFC or do a search there for more info, it was listed in a 1949 H&R catalog according to an ebay item.

I just aquired a H&R Sportster model 250.  Did you find out any more info on them?  The rear sight on it is broke of and i may want to replace it soon.
