LEUPOLD, LEUPOLD, LEUPOLD!

Guess what this post is about?

Nope its about LEUPOLD scopes!!  ;) ;D ;)

I just wanted to let everyone know about some great service I received! I feel like our friend Pete and his 45-70 proclamations!!!  :D :D

On January 30th, I packaged and sent in a M8 3X Leupold scope for a reticule change. I had spoken to a tech who said repairs and such where running about 3 weeks. Yesterday I sent an Email to that tech just looking for conformation the scope had arrived. Today about midday my postwoman drop's off a scope shaped box... yup it is BACK already and with a new reticule!!!! The supplied me with new turret caps and found a problem with one side adjustment. It wouldn't adjust to the right, its complete range. They fixed everything, changed the reticule and tested the scope all for the $60 reticule change charge. I am THRILLED and already have it mounted to my favorite handi.. the MAXI!!!

UNBELIEVABLE turn around time!!!!! They offer a great product backed by awesome service and knowledgeable, courteous techs. You can take this to the bank, you will never go wrong buying Leupold!!!

CW, I too like Leupold scopes but my budget keeps bringing me back to Weavers. I have three of the Leupolds in 20 mm and five 1-3 Weavers. A big Bushnell Banner in 6-18x50 sits atop my .223 Ultra and thats it. I sent one of my Leupolds in for erector spring replacement (bought it that way) and had excellent turn around also. Glad to hear that things are going your way..

Congratulations,

Its good to hear positive stuff like that!

I've been using Leupold since the 60's. They are not cheap but they are solid and dependable.

Still not sure that Handi's deserve such good optics yet. I'm still working out some kinks in my 270 and 243, but I have not given up yet.  I was spoiled by a Rem 700 6mm

Thank you, I know what you mean. 2-300 dollar scopes on 2-300 dollar rifles.
I used to only have cheap optics on my handis. The 2,5 Simmons shotgun scopes where great. I was shooting them more and more. Then I bought another Handi and another Handi. It dawned on me, I had a couple Leupold scopes in the back of the safe. I was saving for bolt rifles, I had picked them up used for a good price. I figured, if I'm using and enjoying the handis anyway, why not mount them with quality glass? Now all but a couple of them wear Leupold glass!!  ;D

Also, don't be hung up on cost as Leupold's can come cheap used! Remember NO WORRIES as long as you buy a VXI or better... just send it back to the factory for a thourough check up!!! It will only cost you the postage there!!

But think of it this way, if you enjoy the gun you will enjoy all the more with quality optics on it.  ;)

Similar reticle to the WW2 era Russian PU sniper scope. German post I think they call it.
That looks sweet CW!

you will never go wrong buying Leupold!!!

CW

I've been preaching that for years!

CW, I too like Leupold scopes but my budget keeps bringing me back to Weavers.

A used Leupold bought at a good price is the best deal in optics in my opinion. You can keep it a few years and if you decide to sell it there is a good chance you can make a little money on it and it will be no problem to just get you money back out of it.

I think if you pay $300 for the gun, there is nothing wrong with paying $300 for the scope. Even if you pay more for the scope, I still don't think you have made a mistake.

I really like the Leupold rifle scopes, and that's what sits on most of my rifles....but not a big fan of their handgun scopes. For EER handgun scopes, there are less costly scopes that work much better and hold up to heavy recoil handguns just as well.

Well,
They did such a great fast job last time. I'm sending them MORE business!!  ::) ;D
I sent my most recent acquisition. Its a VariX II 2x7 out for a checkout and reticule change. Going to get the same reticule German #1, Its the closest to the old post and crosshair that I grew up with.

It went out Thursday, lets see if there will be a repeat performance!!

I have always had good luck and service from leupold as well, they are expensive, but they are of equal or greater quality as a lot of higher priced scopes i've had.  Leupold optics are all that I will buy.  You ought to be getting royalty checks from them CW.

I received the 2X7 VariX II today. This is the one I sent to them on Feb 15th.  My bad as I didn't specfy USPS for return shippment. So it was return shipped UPS. (Slow service) I would have had it Monday!!! AGAIN, super fast service!! BTW, I got the same reticule as the last one. Its a german #1.

Now, for what barrel to put it on... let me see... Wait a minute, I have good scopes on all the barrels. (All but two carry Leupolds) Maybe its time for another barrel!!!  ::) :o ::) LOL
