Handi #3 - Survivor question

Went looking for a 20 gauge shotgun, Dick's had only 12 and .410, hit more stores, found a used $189 .308 bull instead. NVxxxxxx, so still ejects. Took it home anyway. The Survivor stock is shorter than other stocks. What do people put on it to absorb recoil and lengthen it? I love the forend screw BTW.
