Houston, TX contemplating individual credit card bailouts
« on: February 24, 2009, 06:07:52 PM »
This is being considered because the city of Houston wants to raise the credit rating of people so they can buy homes. Sound familiar? Government meddling to get people who can't afford houses into mortgages they can't pay.

The mayor is a Democrat. Why should this be a shock. He has got to spend the money somewhere.
It's all paper and an illusion anyway.

How nice of them. Can I mail mine in and get them paid off? I do not need a house but could use more guns.

If they will pay off all my debt I'll promise to buy a new house.

Welcome to 30% interest on credit card purchases. Somebody has to pay for the added risk.
