Bullshops are no BS!
« on: February 28, 2009, 12:16:54 PM »
Yee Haaw my Bull Shops Bullets came today! I am a happy camper too. It didn't take long to get things fired up at the bench. This is also the first time shooting the Extreme at 100 yds. I have been working out some bugs at 50, and it was time to move her back today. I have done a little shooting with some 460gr No Excuses, so I went straight to the 430gr UC Short Bull Shop. I also ordered 100 of the 460 NEx Bull Shop, but was intriqued by the 430 UC Short. Anywho, here is the target. There are 5 of those babies in the group. 100 gr of BH209 and a Fed 209A primer. Ignition was flawless and there was no swabbing done between shots. I wish I had taken the time to drag out the chrony. I was getting 1700+ from the 460gr bullet over 115gr of BH. I would hope these are comparable. I was looking for something a little more user friendly. Not sure about the "leftitus".There was a little right to left wind, but not much. I expect I will be moving her over a little next time.

Great Shooting !

Are you using the FPJ's and concave BP ?  How's the blowback ?

No shooting for me this weekend.  :(  And now we might get dumped on with snow.  ::)

Yep, that was with the Leupold. So far it has been a winning combination. I guess I need to get another one for the .243 now. I doubt I will be pulling this one apart anytime soon.

FPJ and the concave plug. Not a bunch of blowback, but there is definately some blowback. I suppose I will try one of the new conversions when they come to market. If I could eliminte the mess on the back side of this rifle, I might retire the high power for deer hunting. I'm very happy with how this thing handles the big slugs.

that's some good shootin'! Can you post pics of the bullets? And where do you buy them? Sorry I'm still kinda new to muzzleloading and I've never heard of these? ??? I'd like to try them in my encore.
