Hog Wild - Attractant
« on: March 04, 2009, 11:07:37 PM »
Hunting Pharmacist [from QDMA.com] used some of the aforementioned product on my place in late January '09.  The pigs returned after a long absence [since Nov. '08].  Now there is a new 4' W x 3' L x 2' D hole that is getting deeper and deeper every day where it was introduced into the ground.

To say "this stuff works" is an understatement.

Please let OYD know where he can buy it, I can benefit from his purchase! I have some,"Black gold". This is also supposed to be very good I just keep forgetting to take it hunting. My dogs love the smell of it.

You should be able to get it at your local feed store or at a TSC. Sour corn has always worked best for us. As well as maybe mixing in some HOG WILD.

We use HOGWILD on our lease and the porkers absolutely love it.   It is like a pig magnet.  We get ours at Tractor Supply, Wally World, or BassProShop.

Never tried  HOG WILD.  I use corn, cheap beer and strawberry jello. Mix in 55 gallon drum let sour for about a week and fill a hole dug with post hole diggers. Never had a reason to try anything else.

Hello all you hog hunters! I second the motion (and recommendation) for HOG WILD. In soft soil I have buried it almost 3 ft. deep and they will dig a crater trying to get to it! Now,whenever I set up a feeder,I pour some just to get them going. We used to use soured corn but then learned corn+water=mold which=afloxin and that I can do without.   Kix
