Thompson G2 muzzleloader question
« on: March 03, 2009, 07:17:55 AM »
I picked up a new with no paper work or instruction book 45 cal muzzleloader barrel for my G2. In looking it over I am wondering how I remove the primer nipple as the extractor seems to be in the way. I know some one has the answer and and I try never to take something apart until I am sure I know how or what I am doing :) :)
Thanks

From the breach end on the right hand side there is a set screw in line with the extractor Remove it and the extractor will pull out. On my Encore I never put it back in as the primer caps are easy to remove by hand. You do need to contact T/C and have them send you a manual.

Thanks for the answer. I do have a G2 manuel but did not look there to see if it covered a muzzleloader so guess I should have looked there. :) :)

Are my old eyes fooling me or is that a Nam ribbon on the hat, if so when and where were you stationed. I was not Air Force but we SEA BEES did enjoy shopping at your supply yards when no one was looking.

This will make things alot simpler for you. They should make one for the 45 or it's universal????
