New '06 came in. Lots of photos!

I just picked up my new SB2-306 that I got from Wholesale Hunter on the great Handi "blow out"
that they had recently. According to the FAQ's it is a 1995 model. It has an ejector and a brown
laminated stock and forend.





I have to say that I like the look of the wood. It is unusual compared to today's
offerings.





I decided to go with a Mueller APV Scope with Burris Zee Signature medium rings.





It is definitely a sweet looking rig!





Plenty of clearance between the hammer spur and the scope with the medium
Zee Sig rings. No modifications what so ever and perfect cheek weld as well!
The Mueller APV has very good edge to edge clarity, great light gathering
ability, and very clear glass. It's a great scope for the money.



This sweetheart is going to be a shooter. I can just feel it! From the minute I
mounted the scope and shouldered this rifle I said " This is the one!" It just
feels right. The trigger is fantastic straight out of the box!

Congrats on the nice rifle.  I really appreciate the extra on the Mueller scope as I am very seriously considering this very unit.  The scope looked good and the mounting seemed right. Enjoy your good deal.

 I have been hearing much good about your scope here on GBO. Yours is the closest look at them i have seen. Its exterior looks much like my PENTAX scopes!! I wonder if these where not made at the same factory as I know Pentax doesn't make scopes. There top model is made by Burris and this one someone else, I do not know who.  What do the adjustments look like? Just curious.

Sorry GB it's just been to long of a winter for some of us.

Bob That is a great pick up. It kind of looks from the picture that it has the skinny grip instead of the knuckle busters of today is that true? I know my 95's and 96 Handi's have that great grip and narrow stock with the perfect comb.Again great find. Kurt

You're right. It does look like the Pentax.

By skinny grip, do you mean the forend or the pistol grip of the stock? The
forend seems quite similar to today's Handi's. The stock seems a little different.
I like it better than some of the recent pallet wood stocks that I have seen.
It seems to fit me better.

The butt grips on the older stuff had better fit to the frame and a skinnyer over all feel. I got 3 sets of the older ones 2 are Cinnimon lams and one is laminated pallet. I love the way they feel. Kurt
