I spend each Thursday working with a second grade class at a local school, the ratio of Hispanic students is very high and a large portion of the instruction must be provided in spanish. It is a known fact that the majority of the parents are illegals, speak little or no english, pay no taxes, and many draw welfare or some form of assistance. When we talk about the ecomomical position of this country, we do not normally discuss the amount of our tax dollars being funneled to support programs like this. It needs to STOP!
Please support “PLEDGE Act” of 2009! Take Action!
Did you know that some public schools are having their students recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish and other foreign languages? And did you know that the Star Spangled Banner is being sung in Spanish with whole new stanzas added? Congressman Paul Broun (R-GA) thinks that the Pledge of Allegiance and our National Anthem should be recited and sung in English, the language in which they were composed! He has introduced the Pledge Language is English Declaration and Government Endorsement Act, or "PLEDGE Act" of 2009 (H.R. 1621). His bill bars federal funding for schools that permit or require the Pledge of Allegiance and our National Anthem to be recited or sung in languages other than English. These public declarations of political allegiance, patriotism, and unity should be performed in our national language. Please help Congressman Broun make that a requirement at schools that take federal funds.
TAKE ACTION! Urge your Congressman to co-sponsor the PLEDGE Act of 2009.
