   Hey guys;
  I've had a taurus 941  (.22 mag) for several years now, with absolutely no problems (other than hard ejection of shells)..
  Of course I have only fired perhaps 50-60 rounds through it.. ;D

  BTW: See my post about Taurus 941 below..perhaps you can help me..

Comments that I have seen here on Taurus firearms is kinda like some bad posters we have here.  The bad ones don't make the rest of us all look bad, now do they.  I have seen many other manufactures firearms out there that are just as bad you say Taurus is, and no I'm not going to bash them as some of you have here.  We live in an imperfect world, and so everything made is or can be imperfect.  The overall good things I have read about Taurus out weigh the bad press some are giving.

There are far more happy Taurus owners out there than the dis-satisfied ones here, or the ones that repeat what they have read on other forum boards.

I have seen some stuff I don't like, but the problem is being fixed as it was an ammo related issue.  Other than that I have never had a problem with a Taurus product.

Called again this morning; waited 2 weeks from my last call.   :(  Naturally I called because I haven't received the screw yet.

At least I didn't have to sit on hold for 15 minutes and the young man I talked to was pleasant... nice for a change.  Maybe they've heard of my new, elevated status!   :P  He checked the computer, yup, my order's in there, "we got a shipment in so we have the part now" he says...   :o ::) >:(  "It's scheduled for shipment" he says.  When?  I ask.  "It should go out in 5 to 10 days" he says... I just said thank you, hung up and started beating my head on my desk...  :'(

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode... in 10 days!   >:( ;)

Thanks for the info.  I was so tempted to buy another taurus despite the cheap quality and unconcern for their coustomers. There is no other revolver other than Charter Arms that is so comfortable in my hand that I would like to Own. I have a choice between junk or a Ruger or S&W that I would not buy because of hand discomfort so I guess I will not buy any.

17 days into my 5-10 day promise.  Called them... again.  13 minutes on hold.  When I finally got a CS Rep I didn't even get an excuse, at first.  The fellow said "I see you've been with us a long time..."   ::)  Then, after checking my order, said he had to "redo" it and that would somehow get the part shipped...   :o  He confirmed all my information then said that the old order in the computer didn't include the 3 didget security number from the back of my credit card.  Without those, he says, the order couldn't have shipped anyway!  I guess he felt it was sort of a no foul on their part since their first screw up was canciled out by their second screw up so they get to start over from the beginning.   :o ::) :-\ :'(

The part should ship in 7 to 10 days...  ??? :( :'(

Should of looked at this site befor I got my Judge, basicly the same thing happened to me with the crane assy falling out upon reloading. was talking to a dealer yesterday who also works on guns and his opinion was they are now a POS , dandy guns till you shoot them. we both discussed how we might improve the fakealoo retention system toreass uses . I have a 1911 and a 94[22] and no problems with them YET, not waiting either as they will go by by, good luck with your parts and thanks Greybeard.

Almost forgot, I had a 17hmr tracker, shot fine for a few and then bound up , dissmissed it as bottleneck ammo backing out , it went by by quickly.  LOVE my 3-screws all 17 from bearcat[ 4#'s] single sixes [ 9 ] 357BH's [ 4 ] and 44's 1FT  , 2 BH's.   Sorry if I got off track, going back to the GOOD GUNS, Thanks

this is a sad story ! here's a good  one , i purchased a ''used''  high point carbine a while back , it didn't have all the accessories, since it was used. called hi point and inquired about ordering a scope rail , the wonderful lady on the phone asked what else i was missing , and she ran down the list of accessories it should have come with , sling , sling swivels take down tool trigger lock owners manual . of course i was missing all of this ,i said just send me all of it , when  i asked her what i owed she said nothing she'd send it out asap . i recieved it the next day . all this for a used firearm that retails around $200 new , that wasn't originally purchased by me . makes me appreciate truley good companies . i hope i never have any problems with my pt92afs !!

Okay, I just talked to CS - Derrick X243 - He advised me the screws were shipped the forth; FEDX Ground, 5 day delivery.  We'll see.  I wouldn't be supprised if they ended up being "lost" en route...  ::)

VICTORY!!!

I got home tonight and low and behold there was a package from Taurus!  I am now fully screwed!   ;D  Only about 3 1/2 months...  :(

Now to see how it shoots now that the throats and bore are somewhat in sync.!   ::)  ;D

I sure like happy endings, hope those work for you. 
   I on the other hand went to the Gun show today and traded my Taurus 1911 45 for a Ruger RedHawk 44mag. blue with 5 1/2in. bbl. and sold my 94 22 revolver and added some money for a 77 Ruger in 25.06 also talked to several Judge owners and theirs seem to hold up.
   I had good luck with Henry also , got a 22 rifle w/o front site and they sent new one pronto.

Here it is March 9, and I have my Henry US Survival rifle back already.  But darn!  They didn't fix it.   THEY SENT ME A WHOLE NEW RIFLE!

I was so impressed I bought a Henry Golden Boy too.

Richard, are you holding out on us?  Did Taurus send you a new gun too, or did you just get the screw?

RE Taurus parts order, and probably everybody elses:  ALWAYS get the order number.  If they generate an order, they will have this at Taurus.  It greatly simplifies things.
