Need info on old Stevens 520
« on: March 13, 2009, 01:40:40 PM »
A friend has a 12ga shotgun that was sold by Sears under their model "Ranger 30", it was made by Stevens as the 520/520A. We know some things about it but the question came up about ammo. Should it take the regular 2 3/4" inch. Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought some of the pre-WWII 12ga used a different size. Like a 2 7/8s. If anyone can enlighten me I would be grateful. Don't usually go to this forum, but someone would be know.
Thanks,

they could be 21/2" as well you should have it checked by a gun smith before shooting it
