B/C range report
« on: March 19, 2009, 01:22:09 PM »
Hi all.
It is a beautiful day here in Livingston. I went to the range with my new to me 45/70. The first 3 shots were at 25 yards with the peep sights. I got one large hole. This was with some loads that I did for a friend with a CBA marlin, so moderate 405 corlocts.
I than took one shot to zero and one shot to break a clay pegion at the 100 yrd berm.
I am absolutely amazed at the accuracy of this rifle. especially with my 60 yr old eyes. This rifle will really shoot. :) :)
It does have a slight kick to it. ;D ;D
Thanks Stan.

Stan,
You have acquired the absolute cream de la cream of Handi's.The Buffalo Classic is a beautiful rifle. The 45/70 chambering,to me, is the best thing going in these rifles.Enjoy.

The other Stan(in SC)
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70..it's almost a religion.
