Sako AV 30-06
« on: September 04, 2003, 08:40:59 AM »
Hello everyone.  I have a question about my Sako AV 30-06.  I can't seem to find out the info I am looking for.  I want to know what kind it is ie hunter, synthetic stainless and so on.  It has a synthetic stock with a blued barrel.  The stock is black with a blue/white tint in it.  It is a great rifle to shoot but I want to know more about it if someone could help me or let me know how to contact Sako

I had a Sako TRG-S in 7mm Weatherby. I do not remember the letters "AV" on it.  It was a real shooter but also had a smidge too much recoil for me.  It was an excellent rifle.  Sold it to my neighbor for $600.00.  To my knowledge they no longer make the rifle in this caliber.  I probably should have kept it for just that reason, but I had my eye on a Sako 75 Hunter in walnut/stainless 7MM.

Thank you all for your help it was just what I needed.  A point in the Direction.  I think that you were correct SavageT about it being a TRG-S.  I will have to check again to see if AV is stamped on the barrel but I swear that it is.  Thanks all
