My new GP100
« on: March 27, 2009, 02:04:50 PM »
Last fall I gave my Python to my Dad.  I had a .38 to fall back on, but I felt naked without a .357 DA revolver in the house, so a couple of weeks ago I bought a 4" GP100.  Took it to the range for the first time today.

Spent a few rounds adjusting the sights and then began punching holes in targets seeking the warm fuzzy feeling.

Had every round inside a 3" orange bull out to 20yds shooting SA.  Sweet.  Decided to try some DA point shooting, simulating a home-defense point n' click scenario.  Had every round inside a 5" bull out to 10yds without using the sights or "aiming" per se.  Just hauled it up and pulled the trigger.  It was like pointing my finger.

Man, is this a gun.  I don't think I'm going to regret the purchase.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

I have the GP-100 blue with the 6" barrel and it is one fine revolver. I just need to get out and shoot it more, just not taking the time. I plan on using it this upcoming deer season....

I have a gp100 w/6" barrel and half underlug, man it is a shooter!  My wife bought if for me for christmas and it is my new favorite gun.  I can shoot better with it than i can my 22/45!  I also love the grip, fits my hand like a glove.  I'll never get rid of it.
Life's too short, buy more guns and hope you can find ammo to shoot them!

Improve your point shooting by ignoring the rear site and focusing on the front site instead of just instincivly shooting, you will get very deadly.  Work on your draw and speed smoothness.  The GP100 is great fun.  A lot of people don't realize how goood they can get with a .357 like the GP100 if they relax and practice.  You can really gt in the groove and rip crap up with these guns.  :)
