Now, can you name one organization, one country, one demonstration, one world leader, one riot, one movement, ...out on the street demanding a healthcare system like ours.?

.
I don't want to take the time to find that out because it's 100% meaningless to me. I could care less what people in other countries want or don't want. People marching in the streets for the government to provide healthcare are people looking for a free hand out at tax payers exspence. So marching on this subject is easy and self serving.
Your not getting my point TM. I want to keep the government out of it all. They will hose it up for everyone.
Its "pointless?" insofar that you won't find any country of group clamoring for a healthcare system just like ours and you know that. I see no where in the Constitution wherein a collective approach to healthcare systems is banned. It is sometimes the intrusion of private powerful oligarchs that screw up government, too...since currently they own government.
So, I've made a point that many socialized society's are more incentivized to find cures than to find profits and this is not really an arguable point....But progress is hindered when people remained harnessed to a dichotomous view of economics, capitalism versus socialism and such.
In the example of NASA mentioned, one of many, we see a system optimizing both forces of the private sector and public sector thru government spending and sponsorship to achieve a goal. This model could easily be established to research (basic and applied) and develop solutions to issues that society demands...cure for cancer, cure for diabetes, or freeing energy dicoveries, etc., etc.

TM,
I selected a few points to respond to:
1. You may be very well correct that other countries are not demanding our entire health care delivery system. But the world is benefiting from our research. Consumers of health care likely are not able to see or make this connection. But it is in fact there.
2. I get your point about capitalisms drive for profit over what may be the best for a particular case. But again, I take capitalism for all its good and bad. People need to educate themselves and stop being so dependent on the government for solutions. I believe a socialized health care system will create more problems than it will solve.
I will never back off these principals about socialized practices and policy of government in anything. It’s a cancer and it does not stop at health care. Our government, as are most in the world, corrupted by politicians needs to gain power, influence and control over the people. Allowing the government to own & run our health care will only give them another weapon against the people.
Yes, there is nothing in the constitution banning governments role in taking over our entire health care system. But it is clearly contra to capitalism and the desire of our founding fathers for a smaller less intrusive government and the principals of self reliance.
