Current Sig 232 magazines flawed
« on: July 07, 2010, 07:01:56 PM »
I recently purchased my second Sig 232....the SS model w/Hogue grips and night sights.....and the 2 magazines that came w/it both had a vertical stamping near the top of the mag which hindered loading and/or feeding cartridges. I returned them to the gun shop and they mailed them back to Sig USA over 2 months ago. Meanwhile I ordered 3 more mags from Midway USA, which arrived with the same problem!!! I sent them back and getting $ back. The only workable mag I have is the one I purchased separately from the gun shop at the time of purchase (my first Sig and mags being given to my woman prior to all this).
Anyone else run into this problem and/or know what's going on w/Sig magazines?     Pete

I purchased that exact same version of the P232 about 3 months ago and my mags have been fine.  The gun has been flawless.  Sorry to hear you are having problems, but I am sure Sig will make it right.

mrbumps....am glad ur experience has been good.....my new pistol works perfectly (no FTF with any typical bullet type for .380) with the one and only good mag I have......but the other five mags I've had have been flukes....strange odds.....maybe it's just my turn for such an oddity......am still waiting on factory mag replacements after more than 2&1/2 months.

After approx. 3 months I still have no new workable magazines.....the store owner claimed that Sig doesn't have any current mags to send his supplier. You would think after all this time waiting he would have offered me the new workable magazines he has on a rack and just replenish his own supply whenever Sig is shipping new mags.......apparently he prefers to sell these over-priced mags ($59.99) for cash instead of satisfying a customer.  This pistol was my first bought at his store and my last.
