Charter Arms AR-7, Challanger II same magazine??

I guess this is as good a place as any to put this.  About twenty or so years ago I bought a pistol made by Charter Arms called the Challenger II.  It wasn't a great success although I have enjoyed mine.  The problem is that over the years the springs in the magazines have weakened and I am experiencing feeding problems.  Where to get new magazines??  Somewhere in the back of my cluttered mind I seem to remember that this gun and the AR-7 rifle shared the same clip.  Does anyone know about this for sure as Sportsman's guide has AR-7 mags for sale?

yes, they use the same mag. the difference is in how the barrel screws into the receiver, so youcan't interchange them and have an illegal short barreled rifle.

You have confused me.  Are you saying yes I can order an AR-7 mag and use it in my Challenger or no it will not fit.  If it is exactly the same clip would it not fit the challenger also?????

Yes the magazines are the same and will interchange. A local shop has one and verified it for me as well. I've been thinking about getting it and they happened to mention that at the time I was looking.

Sorry, To clarify they are the exact same receiver except in how the barrel screws on. I used to have a couple 25 rounders for my explorer it was a hoot!
