BEAVER ANYONE ?
« on: March 11, 2009, 05:33:32 AM »
Winter refuses to give it up here.Blizzards, below zero temps and plain lousy weather, continues.I am hoping the warmer weather this weekend, gets things going in the right direction.
Are any of you guys trapping beaver now? I have been getting some lure orders from Illinois and Michigan,so some of those boys are at it.
Give me a ray of hope--tell me things are getting more spring like in your areas.
If you are chasing beaver, how are you doing? and how do they look?
 Anxiously awaiting --spring.

sorry to say tom, but it looks like this is going to be a late spring up north. close to 3 1/2ft snow up by floodwood area. But you never know these days. all it takes is week or so of 40+ to really get thing melting.

best of luck.
I'm also ready for spring, i'm getting sick of temp's in teens and lower.

a couple weeks of high 40s would get things moving in the right direction--provided cold nights don't over ride the days good work.

Still iced up here. Maybe this warm spell will shake a few of the rivers loose. Lakes may take awhile. Will keep you all posted.

I got some sets out this past week. Some creeks are open and some are not. Hopefully we'll get some warm weather to melt the ice on the banks. I have a few creeks that the ice is off, but the banks have 10" of ice right to the waters edge.
