Glad to see others are interested in mc camping too. I ride a Goldwing and have been camping with it for about 10 years now. You can put most of your packing gear to good use. You'll need to stay light and small as possible. Depending on your area,,,,, a fly will work for shelter. Other places you might need a one or two man tent. You'll keep cooking to a minimum. I'll admit,,, I usually sneak out to grab a bite on the bike. Good excuse to explore around. Experience will teach you the most. Good luck and enjoy....
