Hornady FTX
« on: April 01, 2009, 06:55:46 AM »
Im going to start reloading the new ftx for my 45-70. I'll be using normal brass so, would it be better to shave the brass down to Hornady size or just seat the bullet deeper?  Be using them in my BC single shot.

Load it as long as you your chamber will allow, LE brass is short to allow the FTX bullet to be crimped and still allow it to cycle thru the levergun action, you don't have to be concerned about that in the BC using regular brass.  ;)
