They sell for about $240-$260 new, sometimes a bit less if you're lucky.

Part of the reason is they've(the Handi) only been available since mid 2007, I have one, it's shot every load I've tried excellent, 240gr, 265gr jacketed and 355gr cast, as well as Remington and both Hornady factory loads, use the search for .444 with my username in the by user box, and select just this forum from the list.

I've got one as well and it has shot very good with hand loads as well as the factory loads from Hornady.  If you are interested in one get it, you won't be disappointed.  DP

Buy it, you'll love it. I got a 444 handi last year & it dropped 3 whitetail this past season. 1 at 40 yds & 2 at about 80-100yds. 2 dropped where they stood & the other jumped & collasped. I call it a DRT  gun....Dead Right There!

Got one. Absolutely love it and hunt all season with it. I shoot factory Hornady LeverEvolution ammo and it shoots under 3/4" groups. The rest of the family calls my gun "the bazooka". As far as killing deer goes there is no problem. I shoot, they fall over dead in their tracks, no problem. I'm going to start working up some hand loads for it this summer. General consensus seems to be pointing to a load with a 300gr bullet.

Buy it you'll like it.
