One big Boar Raccoon.  32 1/4 lbs. by the grain scales at the farm supply.  Old fella, teeth worn down to the gums and his color was more gray where the black should have been.  Range was about 15 yards and one shot through the heart with a .20 Crow Magnum pellet did the job.  Lawdog

I have a RWS model 34 and use 8.3 gr pellets and I have killed several coons with it. I use it to squirrel hunt and I have killed a lot of them with it. The squirrels are all head shots and I don't waste any meat with it. Carl L.

How about a Deer

Yup,  My goldfinger and a ballistic tip pellet went right into the skull about 20 yds away and the young doe dropped like a sack of taters.  I think a lot of coon hunters in Iowa use this rifle cause they can't use rimfire.

I've taken tons of jackrabbits, a few possums and racoons (I only shoot these when they are pest), and a couple foxes - but the biggest was a young coyote (about 45 lbs) I took several years ago that had been called in to 15 yards with my Beeman Kodiak .25.

I plan to get a DAQ .308, then I'll go bigger!

SoCal hunter,

Client friend of mine lives down in the Hollywood Hills and he says you loose cats and you have to chain the garbage cans down to keep the coyotes out of them.  No shooting allowed where he lives.  Lawdog

I used to live in the high desert, as a matter of fact my airgun coyote was taken out in the Lucern Valley. I still have a small holding in the high desert on the north slope of the San Gabriel Mountains. There are tons of song dogs there, but I normally hunt them with a .223. Head up to the Angeles National Forest or out on BLM land, you can hunt there. A rabbit distress call works well, then pull them in close with a mouse squeeker. One of the things I miss about California is all the public land to hunt!

Thats the sweat thing about living out here in the desert, you can shoot almost any where! Lots of different kinds of game(mice, cottontails, crow, grackles, jackrabbit, bobcats and coyotes)out here.
