Not for any kind of price I'd be willing to pay! :o

For some of those prices you could get a fully tricked out 1911 + a bunch of ammo! :o
You might be able to find a Ballester Molina .45 Auto in decent shape for a better price
if you just have to have a South American 1911 semi clone.

If I'm not mistaken Colt parts won't interchange with the BM will they? Don't really have to have a South American 1911 just lookin for a less expensive one. But I want to be able to interchange parts.

Andrew,
If you want to completely interchange parts from a 1911 to a B.M. ,
forget it! It has a hinged trigger VS a sliding trigger on the 1911.
I understand the magazine is interchangeable though. I'm curious
as to why you would want everything interchangeable with the
1911? What are you looking for?

Parts!  Haha.  Know how hard it is to find parts sometimes for a certain thing. So I figure if I don't buy a Colt brand pistol I at least want to be able to swap parts with a Colt brand pistol. Did some reading last night on the BM and decided I don't want one. Seems the frame is wider and while the BM will fit loosely on a Colt the Colt won't even start on the BM.
I'm cheap and don't want to spend a lot for a 1911 that I'll only shoot every now and then. What it to look like a real GI model for Wild Bunch side matches at SASS events.
