If I had to take a W.A.G., I might guess it is a Blakely like the one that used to be near the river in Charleston SC.  There's a pic of it in Ripley's book.  I think Olmstead, FIELD ARTILLERY... has pix of one recovered from a wreck.  Just a guess.

Being away from any references my first impression is that it is a Blakely.

 I had saved these same pics some time ago, because I also found both the gun and the carriage interesting. As for the gun being a Blakely, all I can say is that its possible, but don't have a clue as to how probable the truth of this guess would be. I think its safe to say that this cannon looks 'kinda sorta' similar to some other Blakely models that I've seen. If your previous reference is to the 3.5-inch Blakely Type II cannon that was stolen from Rivers Bridge State Park in Ehrhardt, South Carolina, then they are definitely not the same model.
In a way, the carriage interests me even more than the gun; its a not often seen design, and the bronze hardware might suggest that it was meant for display, or perhaps as a presentation piece.

A friend of mine is very much interested in Blakely, corresponds with folks in UK on him, etc.  I sent him the link.  He wants to know more so I suspect he'll find someone nearby to look for marks and measure it.  We might find out more in a month or so.  He isn't sure it is a Blakely but thinks it is quite possible.

There is a chance that this cannon is no longer there. I came across this photo taken in July of '08.



 Hopefully, someone can confirm it's whereabouts.
