Hi Cap Marlin Camp 9mm
« on: March 28, 2009, 01:07:32 AM »
I have a Marlin Camp in 9mm.  I was looking for a Hi capacity Mag, when I read that Soumi submachine guns drums can be converted to fit the camp 9.  And they are CHEAP!!!  I have found the drums, although I have not bought any yet. I was wondering if anyone has converted one or know where to look for help...    Any help would be appreciated.

You can make a Suomi drum fit most guns by welding a mag body on to the top of it.  You can either put in a new folower to push the last few rounds up the well, or just use it with the existing follower and not get the last couple of rounds.  Ther is a company that modifies Suomi drums up fo a number of different guns but I don't recall who they are.  I saw it in Small Arms Review.

I appreciate your help.  I didn't figure it was going to be that hard, it's just the unknown that was stopping me from trying it.  I will buy some now and give it a shot.  Thanks for your help.
