More bad news, this accessory barrel officially has no support at Remington, they won't even consider it after the last attempt.  :-\

That is one cartridge I can see no use for.  With three .308 calibers now why make another one that fits in between two of them.  it fits between the 30-30 and the .308.  So why bother?  I voted NO.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Well I am greatly disappointed in seeing this.
I understand from some point of view how this may seem illogical with the 30-30 out there.
But if and all considered, there is a real following for the 7.62 Russian.......which there is!....... then many have an interest in reloading for it...why?... well for one... make that 2, hell 3, of the most accurate cartridges on the planet have been formed from this little guy!
Still yet many just want to shoot cheap ammo,.... who doesn't want some cheap high powered plinking? ;D...it may not be really accurate but fun to plink with anyway, honestly how many of you have been to a real sight/shoot in and expected steel cased/Russian/ FMJ's to be your most accurate load?  ???
In any case if H&R doesn't want to put out a new 7.62 then I am out Monday to buy a Rossi.
I have waited long enough and for them to not ..at least try, and see that the old 7.62 barrels had slopy a$$ chambers and could be an easy fix with their tooling, could make them a lot of $$$.
Then what ever. I want one and will get one....

good point!!, myarmor...

remington offers a 39 in the spartan line, which is a one hole/ break-open
looks simular to the #1 ruger from a distance.
i'm with you on the pro's of a 39....
my 39 handi since the f-pin fix, has been a very reliable/accurate shooter.
i also have a CZ 39 and the handi shoots right with it +/-

there a lot of fun both ways with russian or handloads.

probably the cause for remington not to bring back the 39 is there spartan
i have heard there getting hard to find to.

a few people have said that they have been discontinued.  my remington distributor said "not to his knowledge"
they sell them instantly as they are produced and imported.

check one out, before you go rossi..
