Info requested on Crosman MkI Target
« on: September 13, 2003, 05:13:20 PM »
Today I bought a used Crosman MkI Target pistol for my wife, because she doesn't have the strength to cock either of my older model Webleys. (MkI and Junior - watch for one of them to come up in the Classifieds)

I'd appreciate any info/feeback/opinions on the Crosman? About maintaining, tinkering, where to get parts, a manual etc? Nothing is wrong with the gun at the moment, in fact we shot it today and had a great time. I got it for a pretty good price so if it turns out to be a dud kinda piece, I won't be flailing myself over it.
The main purpose for this toy is to keep her interest in shooting. (So far its working!) :toast:

The Webleys were fun for her to shoot, and accurate, but it was too much of a strain for me to keep cocking them. Besides I believe she ought to be able to handle her own equipment!

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cheers

And what velocities are you getting with them?

Dave: Thanks for the info on Mac -1. I had a quick look at the site, and will follow up tomorrow (its gettin' late and there's a gunshow I wanna go to in the morning!)

echochap: Probably sell the Junior, it is in much better condition. Very little wear. One small bit of corrosion. Probably 90% blue. Grips perfect

The Mk1 has been shot a lot, corrosion on the barrel, grip and sides, a small chip out of one grip. It looks a bit of a clunker but shoots just fine. I don't have any pics, but I may be able to borrow a friend's digital and get some.

If you want to discuss it more, send me a PM email.

Cheers
