Where to buy Nipples
« on: February 17, 2009, 07:32:36 AM »
Hello. I have a very used 1860 sheriff's model that needs new nipples. Where is the best place to get some?

Dixie Gun Works and Track of the Wolf come to mind right off. both are on the web.

As long as you need new nipples, get Treso, or the Thunder Mountain  stainless.  They have smaller flash holes for less blowback (and actually a hotter flame) and are much more uniform in diameter than the stock Italian nipples.

Another vote for Track of the wolf. They are the best company I have dealt with in a long time....

Me too! "Track" is a good outfit, they have the stuff you need, they ship it right away and they don't tack on a big "shipping and handling charge" like Dixie and Cabelas. Track's online catalog is the best out there but if you phone them and explain exactly what you need they will get it right first time.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
