It might just need to be taken apart and cleaned and lubed properly. I'd start there and if that don't fix it then take it to a gunsmith. I have no clue what you might have to pay to have it fixed but you got into it pretty cheaply so you shouldn't be hurt too badly once it's fixed even if you have to pay a gunsmith to do it.

You might try asking on the Gunsmithing Forum to see if one of the smiths there has some first hand knowledge of what it might be.

dropped off at larry smiths ..my gun guru ,,an he called me this mourning ,had her working baby but smooth..
aint nothing like somebody that knows what they doing ,,to cure gun problems..
larry said these things was coming out when he got started,, in the business..
i know what years that is but i won  tell it on larry. :)slim
ps watching him take one dn or put it back togather is,,as one gunshop owner said ,,
a little bit scary.. he musta been in the service when they timed them on disassembly an assembly..
customer brings it in to leave it ,,its done tore dn before he can get out the door. more often than not you leave there with a fixed gun..not much of that kinda service around anymore...
