I'm thinkn' 45-90???

Hey guys I just got a custom built 45-70 RB, on an antique action. Its a 10 lb. 4 ounce rifle with a 33 inch barrel. I havent checked the twist and the guy I got it from didn't even know what brand of barrel it is.
I already have two 45-70's andwas thinking I need a little variety so I was thinking of a reaming to 45-90. Does anyone here shoot that cal. and are they cantankerous?
Thanks, Ed

Longknife,
I've had a 45-70, 45-110. I have a 45-90 Shiloh Sharps now. When I had it on order, I was wanting a 50-90. The more I read the more I became convinced a 45-90 would be the best choice for me. I have never been disappointed with my decision. I shoot both black and smokeless loads. If you use the correct diameter bullet, they are as straight forward as any others of that type.
Thanks,

Did you get your 45-90? May be able to help you out on a good one. Used to shoot with a guy that swore by a 45-100, his scores reflected its success, it did require a grease cookie.

No I haven't got one yet, I was considering getting a reamer and re-chambering a 45-70 that I have. I would buy a gun though, if the price is reasonable. Thanks, Ed
