The Dreams of Liberty ,a long time ago.
« on: March 29, 2009, 05:58:40 PM »
Do any of you remember when it was a fun thing to go to a Mall ?
I know a lot of guys didnt like them ,the Wife would drag you around to places you hated to go.
But sometimes i liked to go to them , and i would kill a day looking at all the crap they had ,and walk out with a CD being all i bought.

I remember the first one i ever saw , it even had a gun store in it .
As time went on it grew into a place that had plants ,music , nice places to eat, and drink a Beer.

And lets not forget ,a young fella could be in a place during the summer, where he could get his hearts content of Hot Babes walking around in skimpy outfits.

I dont know about where you guys live ,but in Texas they were always filled with friendly people , and they were a place to kill some time before you went and saw the opening of some movie called ,Star Wars.???

I first met my Wife in one , It was one of those stores that sold a lot of different stuff ,and it had a lunch counter that everyone like to go to just to hang out because it had a great atmosphere .

I was sitting alone at a counter drinking a beer, when Rhonda came in with her friends and sat at the end of the counter.
She opened her beer and it went across the counter all over me .
CRAP ,My new Stetson !!!!! but they all cleaned me up and asked me to sit with them ,and i was in Hog Heaven.

So a Mall has always had a symbolic feeling to me in a way.
I dont know if it was the stress of todays politics ,or my further leaning toward the dark side.
But last night i was dreaming we were back in that little Pub , like we had been all those other times.
And we were like we were when we had been dating ,and getting to know each other.

While we were having a great time the lady we always knew was packing up boxes ,she had the Lunch counter open ,but the stuff in the store was being boxed up also.
The store across the way was doing the same thing.

There were men pulling carts through the mall all packed with Boxes from other stores ,and there wasn't the amount of People there shopping like there had been before.
People were not friendly like they had been ,they were not ugly ,but they were not outgoing ,and they stayed to themselves.

I asked the lady we knew where all the plants were ,, the ones they once had all over the place out in the mezzanine.
I know times are hard ,but the place was always full of people who would come there just to be around other people, if they were feeling lonely or they wanted to hear the Bands playing.

No cars were parked in the Halls for sale ,no music ,and i told the lady i remembered at Christmas they had a Little train that went all over the mall for the kids ,and it ended up where Santa was.
It was a Beautiful place at that time , A Patriotic place during the 4th of July ,with Flags all over ,and a Miss Independence day contest going on.

The lady said they took out the plants in January , and the lighting is only being used half on to save money.
They didnt get much traffic anymore, and all of those little businesses, that the people from them would come to her place for lunch every day , they had all gone under.

Christmas was bad ,people didnt come in much because it would only now make them even sadder ,because of the times and what they were seeing happen.

I asked her why she was packing up all of that stuff ,are you getting some new things ?

She said NO , Everyone here in the mall is leaving , we cant stay open here any longer.
And like everywhere else ,We are packing up AMERICA.
There wont be anymore Christmas celebrations here ,or the 4th of July.
The more that this country became some other religion ,the more that Christmas offended them. And the 4th doesn't seem to be relevant to anyone anymore for what it stood for.
Then more and more, the entire Mall offended them , It was an American Original ,like the mass markets of the old Roman times were to them.

I too have a lot of memory's here guys ,and i dont know what they will do with this place now.
Everyone is afraid now ,and they dont come out in public much anymore.

Our Children are afraid of the Police ,instead of running to see the kindly officer who everyone just had to greet as he stood there watching out for us.
Now all they do is ask you who you are ,and where are you going.
They will want to see our papers next.

Well i guess we are all packing up the old America now.
Some people we all know, have never known the America i just described.
And as far as Capitalism ? Even when i had no money ,i was still happy and not afraid to laugh ,because i was Free.

As long as the old VW started and ran , and we had some gas in it ,we were in good shape ,And we always found ways to be happy.

So when a Communist Liberal , or their Media tells me i dont know what its like to be poor.
The Liberals and the Socialist do not know Crap ,we didnt consider ourselves poor , or deprived of something ,and no one owed us a Damn thing.

We considered ourselves lucky , because in the kind of Countrys the Leftist seem to have made for themselves.
The People there lived just like like we were ,except they couldn't laugh ,or sing , and move from state to state without being arrested because your alive .or they felt you needed to be questioned.

The difference is my Liberal Friends ,We were young and Free ,if we needed anything we would work somewhere ,then go buy it.
At any time if i had wanted to ,i could do something about my life.

And our Police would say ,( Hay Kids ,dont hang around here and block traffic ,move over there please ).
And we were not afraid to say ( Awwww man , common dude).
If we lived like that,, it was because we wanted to ,not because we had no hope of ever doing any better.

Plus ,the People who lived in what they want us to be now. They could never see their Children ride in that train over to where Santa was , in a Mall full of people enjoying the season.

And the Train, the Music, and Santa was all free. Because some Capitalist payed for it ,so he could see the joy on the faces of the Children at Christmas time.

And we were all Free , that was the one great thing we all Shared .
Thanks Guys ,i need to go get busy boxing stuff up now.
May GOD Bless , Oh sorry ,i forgot to box that one up also.

In this time i Command ,That you take the Secular to Jerusalem .

You should send this to Rush, or Hannity. Maybe they might read it on the air. Very good.

Thank you Elijah , I didnt know how it would be received.
Sometimes i get to remembering the way America was back then ,and it get nostalgic.
I think i just type it out so i can remember the thought ,and perhaps the feeling i had at the time.
Most of us including myself are still reeling over the facts of what has happened in only 60 Days.
Its getting to where i don't even feel like i live in America anymore.

Malls ,an American original ,Huge Stone testimony's to a Country that once was so Great and Kind ,that even these Monuments could not ever explain the True Wonder of the People who built them.
For Century's People so poor they hardly had rags to wear ,looked up at the Monuments of Rome ,and they wondered how a place where even the common ,man could walk on Marble ,and see the wonder of glass.
Only America and Rome can claim this right , Egypt can not because it had its Pharaohs.
Its the same with other Countrys also ,only the Wealthy, or the Royalty could do what we took for granted.
I wonder if one day someone will look at us like this ,And say who were these People ,are they ever coming back .

Americans need to really think about what they are letting go of ,things like this need to be said.
This caused a real stir where i posted it first , i received a lot of email on it.
Mostly good ,but there are always those who feel they were victims of the Country i described here.
How about the rest of you , when you first wake up in the morning ,do you still feel like everything is OK ?
Like you did back then ,then it hits you ,you do not live in the same Country anymore.
In this time i Command ,That you take the Secular to Jerusalem .

Growing up there were no mails, you would come home from school, grab your fishing pole or gun and go fishing or hunting.Sometimes you just got on your bike on went around town. This was about 100 miles from N.Y. city. Those day are long gone.

The optimistic side of me says those days will return. I hope. I live just about 100 mies from NYC and my kids are so dang busy playing on manicured ballfields it almost seems like there is no time to grab the fishing pole or gun. Well, this spring my older boy is gonna' miss a baseball game or two to go turkey hunting. Priorities............

I would settle for just getting our old Country back again.
Leatherstocking i have a lot of friends in Up state NY.
I wish we could do something about this , if this Country breaks up i dont think i would ever see them again.
Obama was Apologizing for us Americans being snobs and wasteful spoiled brats.

Why is a sitting president saying that about us ,or why is he Bowing to the King in Saudi ,and then kissing his feet ?
He is not only embarrassing ,he is makeing a fool of himself and us.
Then he is upset because no one but England is going to help us in Afghanistan ,while our media is saying his trip was a success.

I cant blame them ,would you send your Troops to anything that Obama had anything to do with ?
Especially after He all but said we are stupid ,Lazy , spoiled Brats.

Mr. Obama ,No one gave us a damn thing , Americans earned every bit of this by paying for it in there Blood.
We have earned our way through the years by Hard work , Military service ,High taxes , and we buried our loved ones along the way and never asked for anything from you.
And we still loved our Country, and if it was Capitalism then i guess we loved that also.
But as i said ,we were happy ,loved Christmas time ,went to church , and watched our kids grow up safe.
Because we were FREE , and you can take everything a man has ,as long as he is free he will survive and start over with a smile on his face.

Its something you evidently have no conception of , but i would rather be a HoBo hopping Trains, and sleeping under the stars in the great depression  of America.
Than a cradle to grave conscript in your Demented ,Narcissistic ,vision of what you want America to be.
Come to think about it ,America was doing just fine until you and your kind showed up with your Liberal Utopia that has never worked anywhere its been tried.

I agree with your thoughts about the current administration, but the problems we are talking about here began a long time before he took office and can't be blamed on any one President. It's an erosion of culture that began to accelerate after 9-11.
