Remington 700 Date of Manufacture
« on: August 25, 2003, 03:17:12 PM »
I recently purchased a used Remington 700 BDL in 30-06.  The serial # is  A6825048.  It has "tear drop" pressed checkering on the stock grip.  Does anyone have any idea when this rifle may have been manufactured and what it's value on the market might be?

The person from whom I acquired it said he'd bought it used about 10 or 12 years ago.  Bluing is 98%.  Has only a couple surface rust spots that should rub out.  The stock has a few use dings and has the original Remington butt plate.  The bore is shiny and has excellent grooves.   I paid $250 for it.

Cool link. I have an old Remington Model# 721 in .30-06. I have been trying to get that kind of info about it. I only paid $125.00 with a scope, for it 14 years ago.
